Wish List Wednesday - Wedding Planners

I've just got engaged and it's got me thinking about planning.  The wedding isn't going to be for about 2 years so some people would probably say I don't need one yet. They maybe right but I'd love one to start putting things into so if I find bits I then have somewhere to keep the details.
These are some of the ones I've come across. My favourites are the gold Heart one because of its design and then moleskines journal for its organised and clean design. They all are lovely but in different ways.

Flapjacks Recipe

I love Flapjacks I find them really comforting. They also a great snack with slow releasing energy. Which means there better than sweets. I decided to try one lot with cranberries which taste amazing. The bonus is they don't take long to make.

113g Butter
85g Golden Syrup
110g Light Brown Sugar
215g Oats
Cranberries (optional)
Preheat Oven to 180 Degrees

I first started by combining the sugar, butter and syrup together. Heating to melt it. I put it in the microwave for about 30-50 seconds.  Then I mix it together with the oats and cranberries.

Then all you need to do is put them in a tray and put them in the oven for about 15-20 mins or until golden brown.

Wish List Wednesday

3. Shoes

Ever since I saw this dress I've been Smitten. I love that is black and white but it's the print I was really drawn too. This top is lovely yet simple and would go with lots of things. I've had my eye on this bag for sometime now and it's even more perfect now it's in the sale. These shoes are smart but casual which really suits my style. Who doesn't need nail polish I'm finding it even more important to take care of my nails since I've been engaged. Just wanting to show my ring of as best I can.

What I'm Hoping to Achieve

As I've mentioned before I've not been posting very much recently and I intend to change that. I've taken the time to get back into the routine of things but also so I could think about what I really want to do on my blog.
I started it as I wanted a place where I could write about things I like and do and to do share my interests and views on things. I still want my main focus to be a mixture of those things but I want it to be more open and free. I guess this is what I hope to achieve with my blog for 2014. Last year I wanted to take outfit posts as a way to build up my confidence. I feel I achieved this as I started taking a few a month, slowly progressing as the year went on and I feel a lot better in my own skin now.
I feel I can really achieve what I want on my blog this year. I know this seems a bit late to be talking of what I want to achieve or resolutions but I've decided that instead of thinking of them like that. It's more of a case of changing my habits and Lifestyle.
I've already said what I want to achieve with my blog but aside from that I want to change my lifestyle and eating habits. No I'm talking about dieting or joining a gym. I just want to focus on my wellbeing. By that I mean I want to feel good in myself. I want to get out on my bike, do more swimming and yoga. These are all things I really enjoy but never make the time to do and thats all going to change. Along with this I also want to change the way I eat. I not going go cold turkey or anything as I'll allow myself to have a treat now and again just not all the time. I want to try more things and spend more time in the kitchen trying out recipes. I've always had a sweet tooth tending to always go for something sugary as do many others, but I want that to change. It's a bad habit I've had for as long as I can remember and it's one I intend to break.
These are all achievable things especially as they are things I intend to carry on with and not just something for a few months or a year.
I hope all your hopes and dreams for 2014 happen.

We're A Few Weeks In

So we are a few weeks into 2014 and it already feels like I've done a lot. I'm back at work now but Ian and I have managed to become quite busy.  We went to my cousins and celebrated her 19th Birthday, we celebrated our 4th Anniversary and we've been trying to organise our engagement celebrations. A long with various other things. It may not seem like a lot but for us it is. Our year has started off quite social which I believe is the start of a very social year. As we've already been invited to an engagement party, a Wedding Reception, a 50th Anniversary meal, 80th Birthday party and a 1st Birthday party. Along with this we also have our own Engagement Meal coming up. Which I'm really excited about (there will be another post to follow about that).
Although we're only a few weeks into the year I've enjoyed it and I hope it's the start of what's to come and I really do look forward to the rest of 2014.
I hope 2014 is a great year for you guys too.

Tell me what you want, tell me, tell me that you need me

Jumper - Topshop/ Dress - Miss Selfridge/ Tights - Primark/ Boots - River Island/ Hat - Topshop/ Engagement Ring

I've been a bit absent from the blog which I intend to change. This is a belated post as this is what I wore on mine and Ian's anniversary on Janruary 6th. I made the outfit look a little casual with my Jumper for during the day and I also wrote vans but forgot to take photo with them. Then for our anniversary meal in the evening I took the jumper off and wore my new boots I got a Christmas. I was a bit self conscious in this dress to start off with as I don't often flaunt my cleavage but I absolutely love this dress and i wasn't going to let it bother me.

Waiting All Night - Rudimental

Sales Sales Sales!

The sales have been on for a few weeks now. Looking at the sales online I've felt a little disappointed as I don't feel there has been that much on offer.

Looking at Topshops sale I found myself captivated by the shimmery and metallic items. I have ordered the two skirts and I can't wait to see them.  The sequin skirt was a steal at £40 with it originally being £125.

Red Playsuit
ASOS seemed to have a great range of items. I loved the these two Playsuits with their relaxed feel. These Cath Kidston Bottoms have beautiful print. I wanted a powder and love the packaging of Paul & Joe products.

Blue Dress
Red Jumper
I'm not usually a massive fan of warehouse clothes but I thought I'd give  it a look. I thought this dress was beautiful with the frosting of embellishments on the shoulders. Jeans are always a great buy and I love these black straight jeans. I've already got a red Jumper which I've nearly worn to death and I think this would be a great replacement. The only thing is I was a bit disappointed about the reductions as it didn't really seem they were reduced by much.
Hope you've all found bits in the sale.
