Wish List Wednesday

I've not done a "Wish List Wednesday" post in a while but I've stopped a few things and thought I'd share them with you. These two dresses are from Cath Kidston and are great for any occasion. I've been looking for dresses I can wear that look really smart but that I can wear casually too. I couldn't resist this bag with its pastel colour. These shoes are great and would go with either dress and with bits I've anyway got.

Lessons in Life

After I read Lyzi's post a while ago called "26 things learned in 26 years" on Being Little it got me thinking about all the things I've learnt in my life. Which is why I thought, it would be a great idea to do this post. Not only to share what I've learnt, but to remind myself that I've learnt a lot in 24 years.

1. Not everyone is going to like you
2. School is meant to be hard
3. It's good to be yourself
4. Be open to change and new things
5. The little things are what matters
6. Balance in life is important
7. Don't let the negativity in
8. It's okay to let go of friendships that aren't good
9. Make time for yourself
10. Make time for family
11. Be comfortable with laughing at life and yourself
12. Food is great
13. Always be grateful and appreciative
14. Do what you love
15. Save money
16. Don't live with regret
17. Not everything is easy
18. It's okay to say No
19. Always have fun
20. Don't let people bring you down
21. Enjoy every experience
22. Don't rush into big decisions if you're not sure
23. Never give up on your dreams
24.  Everyone has bad days. What matters is you pick yourself back up

These are 24 things I've learnt in 24 years. It's good to remind yourself of what you've learnt in your life so far. It shows you that you've learnt and a lot and that we are always learning if life.

What are some of the lessons you've learnt?

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW Foundation Review

As you may remember I've got sensitive skin, so when it comes to make up I have to be extra careful. I decided that I'd give Benefit's foundation a go as I'd read some great reviews.

The packaging is really simple and clean. It is easy to see how much you've got left, which means you know when you need to stock up.
It's a lovely creamy and moisturising formula, which works great when applying.
The foundation gives a nice even coverage and is easy to apply.
It's beautiful and light, which for me is really important. I hate a heavy foundation as it feels uncomfortable on my skin, but this is beautiful and almost makes you feel you've got nothing on.

If you're looking for a heavier or thicker coverage then I wouldn't suggest this. It is fantastic for those that want something lighter and it works great with my sensitive/dry skin. For me it's definitely a staple piece for my make up bag. I recommend that you give it a go if you're wanting to try something new. It would be a great choice for summer because of it's lightness.

At £26.50 it's not the cheapest foundation, but if you want great quality you have to spend a little extra. I'm not one to spend a fortune on make up, however I do believe that the base is the most important part. This foundation being as good as it is I believe it's worth every penny.

As I've already said I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

What's Next...

Yesterday marked the end of my time at the school I've been working at. Although I knew it was coming as I was only contracted until August, it doesn't make it feel any better. I've loved my time there and I've grown fond of the children and saying goodbye made me all too sad.
I got some gifts from the children, which I didn't expect along with something from the school.

However on my last day I had people saying good luck in whatever you do, but others said at least you live at home and don't have to worry. This upset me as I've been working there for sometime and, although I may be young it doesn't mean I live at home. In fact I don't and haven't for many years. So I too like them have responsibilities and bills to pay.
I don't understand why they'd jump to the conclusion I live at home especially when I've mentioned I live with Ian.
This made for a day where I was filled with emotions and not sure what to think.
Not only that, but it began to make me think about what is next for me.
I know that I want to go into teaching and as easy as it may sound to do so I can assure you it's not. I find myself coming across so many obstacles and at times it gets very frustrating and disheartening.
I know that it's not only me that probably gets this feeling, but sometimes it can feel like it is.
I have been applying for jobs and I've just resubmitted my application for teacher training. Fingers crossed that I get something otherwise I'm stuck.
I try to stay positive but at times it can be hard. I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason, although it may not feel like it at times. I like to believe that it means something even better is coming. That everything will work out and I'll be where I want to be in the end. Even if it's hard on the way.
Part of what keeps me going is Ian he is always there supporting me along the way. Telling me not to worry what everybody else says and to follow my dreams. I really couldn't do any of this without him. He gives me such strength and makes me want to keep going. Pushing myself when things get hard.
I find that it's important to have people around you who believe in you and who are there to always support you. That have your back and will remind you it's all worth it.

So here's to being positive and to the future and all the changes and challenges it may bring. Making us all stronger and teaching so much.

Wish List Wednesday

As you might have realised I love  a print. This week I've been looking at some of the new in bits. I have to say I've been a bit disappointed there's not really been anything that's caught my eye. Until I went into Zara and found these lovely dresses and shirt. The prints are just so interesting and pretty. There is a arty feel to them which is why I love them so much. Zara is one of my favourite shops at the moment I keep finding lots of good pieces and for a reasonable price too.
This jumpsuit from Miss Selfridge was a bit of  a surprise find as I really find something in Miss Self ridge. I love the colours and the cut I think it would be a great piece to add to my wardrobe.

YSL Paris Limited Addition Perfume

This perfume is a glorious rose aroma. It's like wearing a bouquet of roses. This version of the perfume is a limited addition version of their much loved Paris perfume. It's described as being a dazzlingly contemporary version that re-declares is love for the city of Paris, Women and Life.
This is one of my everyday perfumes is so delicate and elegant with its light floral smell. I love that it is not heavy or overpowering.
If you want something light that you can wear everyday then I'd sisterly recommend this.
The price is even more reason to buy it as it only comes in 125ml and costs around £20.

Sale Favourites

Who doesn't love a sale. Not that you need an excuse, but I believe it gives you even more reason to shop. I also get this great great feeling knowing I've found a bargain. I've been looking through the online sales and have picked some of my favorites.

Topshop

This is still a lot of money considering it's in the same, but I love the silver tone. These sorts have the interesting palm print, which I found myself drawn to and as they're denim they'll go with loads. The print if this skirt makes me think of paintings it would definitely be a stand out piece. Finally this basket had a great picnic themed feel to it and what with it being a trend you can't really go wrong.

Zara

I've recently found a love of Zara. It's not really a shop I would have gone to before, but I've found some great pieces this year.
I saw this dress when it was full price and I feel in love is even better that is now in the sale. This Camisole is so pretty and an easy to wear piece. This sorry is similar as it has that easy feel to it.

Cath Kidston

Cath Kidston is a great place to go sale shopping as I always feel you can get a great deal. These to dresses are lovely. I particular like the floral one with its vintage feel. These to bag are exquisite as are all there bags. These to would be a great addition to my bag collection.

So they are my favourite sale pieces I hope you like them. Have you found shine great pieces in the sale?
