Morocco Part 1

So I've been back for a few weeks now and I thought I'd share with you mine and Ian's trip to Morocco. Starting with our hotel.

Ian and I have always stayed in budget hotels so for us this was a bit of luxury we've never experienced before. We stayed at the RIU Palace Tikida in Agadir.
We opted for the coastal resort of Agadir as we wanted a to have a well earned relaxing holiday.

The hotel boasts big open spaces throughout and has a selection of bars and restaurants.
When we entered the lobby we expected to see a small area but it was grand and exquisite. Like nothing we'd ever seen before.

The lobby is the main hub of the hotel with a shop and a 24 hour bar. It has the main restaurant and then it has 3 a la carte restaurants off the lobby. Giving you a choice of Moroccan, Italian and Fushion cuisine. Off the bar is an outside terrace area for you to either relax in the sun or get some fresh air in the evening. It was an amazing little sun trap in the afternoon.

The outside continues with the grand open feel. Centred around the two pools in the middle. It has two bars one which you can actually sit at whilst in the pool. It has a selection of sun beds along with this four poster style sun beds. Ian and I managed to get them a few days and they are truly relaxing and comfortable. They encouraged an afternoon nap in the sun.

It has lots of green space and these tranquil pond like spaces.

Our room was amazing every day they made these shapes using a blanket on our beds and they even did with my night dress.
The beds where extremely comfortable but the only downside is it was twin beds.

These was a lovely sofa and seating area too along with out door seating.

Unfortunately I did't get a photo of the bathroom but it was incredible with his and hers sinks, a massive bath with a rainfall shower in. The room also had a walk in wardrobe which lead to the bathroom. We'd definitely go back.

I'll be mentioning the food in an upcoming post along with a day trip to marrakech.
