Life's Little Love Notes

The things I am grateful for this week are:

1. Starting my new job

2. My Cat

3. Getting married to my soul mate and best friend a few months ago

This week I started a new job where I am working in a campaigns and marketing team and I couldn't be happier. I actually can say I look forward to going to work which is something I've not been able to say in a long time.
Luna has been a part of our family for just over a year now and it feels like she has been a part of our family forever.
We finally got our proper wedding photographs back and it great seeing the picture of our day. (the photo of us are by Kay Mills Photography)

Sometimes when I have a lot going on in my head or if I find myself getting worked up about a situation the best thing to do is get out. I find it is the best way to clear my head and get more relaxed.
There are some great places to get out a take a walk where I live. One of my favourite places to go for a walk is the Riverside Country Park. It's great getting out in the fresh air and I love being near the water so it's an added bonus that this place is by the river. These are some of the photo's I took on my walk so enjoy.

Life's Little Love Notes

I know every once in a while we can all forget about the great things in life. Life can feel like it's going wrong and this sometimes leads to us thinking everything is pretty rubbish. It's in these moments I find myself reminding myself of all the good things and trying to stay positive.

I've heard of the gratitude journal and various other versions of this, although I like the idea it's not really for me. I thought about how I could do my own version and I've decided to do a weekly post featuring all the things I've loved or that I am grateful for.
The little things are what go unnoticed all the time and I want celebrate them.

1. Quiet moments to relax

2. Celebrating with my Husband

3. Milkshakes

Wish List Wednesday

I've been trying to make better choices to get me feeling and being fit and healthy. So I've started investing in a few without clothes.
These are some of the pieces I've come across. Primark has some great pieces like this two crop top and Gilet and they are great prices too. These Pilates socks would be great. These two bottoms are really fun and would be great for different types of workout.
Lastly the two tops are perfect as I like a lose fitted top. As I hate things clinging to me when I workout.

Chocolate Banana Smoothie

200ml Milk of your choice
1/2 Banana
4 Tspn Choc Powder

Start by putting in the milk.

Then add the banana.

Then add chocolate powder.

Now you're ready to drink.
So enjoy!

There is a reason I found a reason Beneath the subway floor

Dress - H&M/ Bag - Micheal Kors (Morocco)/ Shoes - Converse/ Sunglasses - Primark/ Fitbit/ Bracelet - Pandora

This outfit it a little tennis inspired. When I saw the dress it reminded me off the Zooey for Tommy dress, so I had to have it. I wanted something that was easier but that looked good for celebrating a birthday.

I am a River - Foo Fighters

Wish List Wednesday - Sale

Better Late Than Never Amazonite Stud Earrings in Sterling Silver

Stone Ice Cream Clutch

Manor Lace-up Mid Ankle Boots

The sales have begun and there's lots of there.
These are just some of the fab pieces I've found. Who doesn't love shoes and both of these are very stylish. These trainers are a bit different I love the contrast of the white and blue. Leopard print is definitely classic and will jazz up any outfit. As for the jacket is got one like this in black and iI love the idea of getting one in white. Like a good pair of shoes, bags too are a must. I like these two both for different reasons the ice cream Clutch adds a bit of fun to an outfit and the cath kidston bag is pretty and practical. With this weather sunglasses are a must and I have a little bit of a collection and cat Eye Sunglasses are what I want now. This dress is super cute and has a lovely cut. I love a pair of pajamas and these look like really cozy lazy Sunday pajamas.
There's so much of the art the moment so keep your eyes peeled.

Monday Musing

So recently I have quite absent from the blog. Only managing to do a wish list Wednesday post if and when I can. This year has been a bit of a challenge but it has also been filled with exciting times too.
My husband has been having a tough time at work over the last few years and had been signed off with stress. This year really took it's toll.
He didn't want to give up as he felt it wasn't fare, but I told him there comes a time when you have to think of yourself and what's best for you. It was making him unwell and I wanted him to feel better and leave. I knew this was a discussion only he could make and in April he decided it really was time and that he needed to think about himself. He also didn't want to feel like he did anymore especially before we got married.
Which leads to me. I have had a bit of an up and down time with jobs. By that I mean I have been doing temp agency work for the past few months and whilst it means I get a change in environment and get to experience different companies I never really feel a part of a team.
This is something that comes with agency work. You're there to fill a spot whilst they need the extra people or until someone comes back. So you're never really a part of something.
It's gotten me down a few times, but it's been an experience that has taught me a lot.
I now know what I want to do and I am focusing my time on reaching that goal whilst still temping. I mean a girls got to earn some money. I know I am going to reach my goal I am just waiting for some to give me opportunity as I know I can do it.

This then leads to the main reason I've been a bit absent. Since March we've been fall force sorting out the last parts for wedding. Then in May we got married (they'll b some wedding related posts soon) and then went on a honeymoon.
Since then we've been enjoying the start of married life and it's been a busy for us.
Now I'm back and full of inspiration and ready to get going. So keep your eyes peeled.
