Warehouse Party Pieces

Warehouse isn't a shop I go to a lot. but they've got some great options for party pieces this season.
This black top is great and could be worn with lots' of different pieces. I think it would look good either paired with these red trousers or this gold skirt. You could even finish the look off with these boots and jacket either way the outfit would be a showstopper.

The red trousers and the gold skirt are great pieces and are very festive is colour they're both stand out pieces and good be dressed up or down.
These boots are gorgeous and who doesn't need boots you can wear with any outfit.

With faux fur being on trend this season I had incorporate this jacket. With it's pale grey colour it would go with any colour combination and could be worn with various looks.
This leopard dress is gorgeous, it's not over the top and it's subtlety is perfect for this season. It could be worn with heels or boots depending on the party you're going to.
Lastly is this stunning dress I love the mix of colours and the detail it's a stand out piece. It would look perfect with these metallic heels and bag as they'd finish off the look just right.

Gift Guide: Beauty

In the first of my gift guides I'm looking at beauty. We all love beauty products, even modern day men are embracing them.  I've put together this gift guide to suit budgets big and small to satisfy those beauty addicts.

First up a fragrance for both men and women. A personal favourite of my husband and I, it's a unisex scent which is just gorgeous. Next is this Liz Earle sparkling skin duo which is for a woman who wants a gentle face set that leaves your skin feeling amazing. There are other sets to pick from but this is perfect and is definitely on my Christmas list.

Who doesn't love Lush, as you can see there's quite a few of their products on this gift guide and that's because they're such fab products where it really does suit all budgets.
First up is this star bubble bar which will give you a christmasy scent of cinnamon. You've then got this gift box filled with goodies. Lush have some great gift sets at different prices they've always got the perfect combinations. Then there is this Icing on the cake roulade, a shower smoothie which is sure to smell good. Lastly I've picked this Santa's Belly set I love the way it looks as it's super christmasy and filled with santa goodies.

Now onto this lovely Benefit gift set which is for the lips, but they've got a great mix of different sets and they're a great way to sample their products.
For those who find it hard to relax and sleep there's This Works Dream Team set which is gorgeous and again for men or women.

Lastly it's one for the men it's a Shave Duo which my husband loves he says it's great on the skin.

So they're just some idea's to get you going.

Sequin Embellished Raglan Top
Gold Glitter Slip On Plimsolls
ASOS Sequin T-Shirt
ASOS Ombre Mini Stars Turban Headband
Camo Sequin Bomber Jacket
ASOS Walls Embellished Clutch Bag
ASOS Glitter Sequin Silver Sweat T-shirt
MOTO Sequin Boyfriend Jeans
Dark Silver Glitter Block Heel Ankle Boots

It's the festive season and if like me you're something of a magpie then you'll love all the sparkly pieces that are in the shops now.
I love the sparkles that the festive season brings it gets me all excited. The way the light hits them and  the way they instantly change an outfit. They really do put a smile on my face.

You can incorporate them into any outfit. These are some ideas of how you can incorporate them into everyday looks.
Accessories are a great way of adding sparkle if you're not too in to it. Either pair of these shoes would be great whether you want a casual slip on or a pair of boots for an evening out these are both a great way to dress up an outfit.
If you are not into sparkly shoes then maybe a turban or a bag are the way to go.

If you want to have more fun with it and go all out. This t-shirt from Topshop is a great casual piece and would look perfect with jeans, a pair of vans, a beanie and a jacket. This all sequin top is another great top if you want something a bit more dressy.
This polo shirt is also another cool piece and it is a real stand out piece. You can also get it in a dress which I'm lusting over.
This jacket is another stand out piece that can be worn day to night just like these jeans.

River Island Party Pieces

Another Party Pieces post,  this time for River Island. With this edition I've gone for one subtle colours as not everyone likes colour.
First are these 4 pieces which can be worn with what you want. That's what I love about separates. This first fringe embellished top is great and would provide just enough sparkle teamed with these leather look trousers. For added sparkle team with metallic brogues. Next I've picked this cute top and shorts which would be great with this faux fur scarf and bag and finished with a pair of tights and boots.
Alternatively you could pair the faux fur scarf with this bandeau dress which is definitely something special. It would look perfect with this pom pom heels, even better they're similar colours to the scarf. It's like a match made in heaven.
If you want something a little less sparkly then this lace dress is gorgeous and it's my personal favourite. I thought it would look stunning with these leopard boots and sparkly bag. I'd  even wear the faux fur scarf for added colour.
Lastly if you want something different then this beige sequin dress is definitely for you. As it's such a stand out piece I've kept it simple with these shoes but you could make it stand out even more if you wanted too.

Topshop Party Pieces

Laila Glitter Star Platforms

The second segment in my party pieces posts.
Topshop has got some great pieces to suit everyone. What I'm loving is their mix of textures and colours.

I think it's fun to wear something different and for me that comes in the form of a playsuit. I have a few but, I don't really wear them. These two are gorgeous what is even more fantastic is that they are velvet. This first one is a jumpsuit so it's longer in the leg, the straps are lovely and add a flirty feel. It would be perfect teamed with this faux fur and a pair of glittery shoes. The next one is the beautiful jewel ton blue, which would be perfect with this quirky star heel and two tone metallic bag. it's definitely a look that will make you stand out.

If you're looking for a two piece then this leather skirt and bralet are perfect for you. Adding just enough sparkle to your look. It would look great with the faux fur or some fun heels like these fluffy velvet  ones.  They're an eye catching shoe that reminds me of Carrie from Sex in the City.

This next look is to die for. Red is a colour I always associate with christmas and this one is exquisite with the pretty lace print. It is a show stopper so with this I'd team it with a simple shoe like these metallic ones as I think it really is all about the dress.

Lastly this silver dress would make anyone feel like a grecian goddess. For me it's what christmas and new year are all about and this would look perfect with these star heels to add a bit of colour. There are some beautiful colour faux fur out there so maybe even add a colourful to amp the look up. This is definitely going to get heads turning which is what you want at a party.

Wish List Wednesday

I have recently been looking at bits to add to my wardrobe and one thing all girls should have is the LBD. Now I have realised that I don't actually own one.
These two are gorgeous, both from Monki the Adriana dress has a shimmery sparkle to it, so it would be perfect for the winter season. Then there's the Dannie dress it's the dressy shirt dress that I need in my life. Each would bring a slightly different look to my wardrobe. They'd be perfect teamed with either this scarf and red heels or even paired with these vans for a dressed down look.

Both pair's of these shoes would stand out in any outfit. The red bringing a very needed pop of colour and the metallic would spruce up my everyday outfits. Faux fur is very on trend and is another great way to spruce up an outfit. This scarf is lush with it's mix of colours and would be great to dress up a causal outfit like this or to give added luxury to a going out look. Another way I could use faux fur is with this bag.
This jumper looks super cosy and comes in different colours it would be perfect teamed with this jeans rolled up and the vans or for extra glam paired with these heels. Lastly I always keep my make up minimal so this rock chick set from Charlotte Tilbury would be great along with this gimme brow from benefit.

I liked all these pieces as they could all be mixed and matched to create multiple looks whilst also mixing with my current wardrobe. I think that's what makes a great staple item. Something that can be mixed with multiple pieces to create a variety of different looks.

Shoes Shoes Shoes!

What girl doesn't love shoes.
Looking online I've come across lot's of different shoes and these are some of my favourites.
I don't really have any flats and I love these two pairs. I love the sliver heart on the first pair, giving them a playfulness. These sparkly shoes are super cute and girly and would add the right amount of sparkle to any outfit.

These blue shoes are fun and would add a playfulness to any outfit. I love the colour and the pom pom, they remind me of clown shoes with a modern stylish twist.
These brown brogues are more a sensible pick I need to get a pair of these in my shoe collection. Lastly I love the print of these red shoes they have fun edgy feel to them and they'd look great with a pair of jeans or a dress.
There's so may beautiful shoes out there and although I can't afford ones like Carrie Bradshaw I do understand her love of shoes.

ASOS Party Pieces

These is a guide of my favourite ASOS Party Pieces to suite everyone. At this time of year most gals are looking for that perfect party outfit whether it's for a fancy party or a low key get together. ASOS have some great pieces and is my usual go to for party pieces.

These first two looks for those who like colour. but that don't want full on colour. This first ombre star dress is super cute and has that perfect mix of black and colour. You can team if with black accessories or if you're feeling a little more daring add some extra colour with this low heels.
This next star dress is super cute and is perfect for those expectant mums. Whilst I am not pregnant myself this is a show stopper and it'll definitely make you feel special. Again you can play with look picking either black or coloured accessories.

The central look is something I've put together for those of you who like separates. This bandeau top can be worn with or without straps and it would look fab teamed with this black midi skirt and jewel green faux fur scarf. With this look not having any sparkle it would be fun paired with these shooting star heels to bring the look together.

Now for those of you looking for full on colour I have these two beauty's for you. This red number is perfect if you're looking to have a festive colour in your outfit. This could be dressed up or down. With a pair of cute heels or even boots.
Lastly you've got this stunner of a dress I love the mix of causal style and glamorous sparkle. With this look I think you've got to have fun with it. Pairing it with some pink heels like these mixing the luxurious fabrics too. It would look cool finished of with either a faux fur bag or a novelty bag. This is definitely my top pick and a dress I hope to get my hands on.

The key is to have fun with what you wear and make sure you feel comfortable too. It's about having the perfect balance and incorporating the little bit of magic that comes at this time of year.

Broadstairs Food Festival

This is very late in being put up. Back in September I went to the Broadstairs Food Festival.
It was a lovely day spent with my husband, his mum and step dad. The sun was out and the food was good.

I kept it casual with a striped top, ripped knee jeans, silver shoes and my trusty leather jacket.

We wandered around a bit before heading to the food festival. I mean who can resist a bit of seaside charm especially at Broadstairs. It was made even better with the sun shining.

I knew the festival would be busy, but I wasn't quite prepared for how busy it really was. It was definitely a day for the family. With food to suit everyone whether you love meat, are a veggie or vegan, love cake or are looking to try something new there really was a great choice. A place to indulge your stomach and not feel too guilty.

The Taste of Thailand was where we bought some lunch, the thai was to die for. Full of flavour and great portions. You could choose between, prawn, chicken or veggie pad thai. This was a very busy stall and it's easy to see why.

My favourite place by far was "My Little Green Box" I had one of their yummy amazeballs and an energy smoothie. Both of which was so yummy I found myself wishing I could go there every day. They are based in Canterbury so if you are around I'd recommend you check them out.

It was a lovely day out, I saw Chetna from the Great British Bake of which you may have seen on my Instagram.
I'd love to go back next year and have another indulgent day of trying new foods. If you're looking for a good day out then this is the place to be. Broadstairs is a favourite place of mine to go and with this food festival what better reason to go.

So until next time...

Wish List Wednesday

Another homeware wish list. I love browsing the websites for pieces for the house. As it is part of what adds character to the house and makes it a home.
We have a room in our house which is my dressing room. It has wardrobes a few shelves but other than that it's pretty basic. I've added a vintage touch with some old suitcases on top of the wardrobes, but I want to add some more personal touches. This skull stand would a great feature and it's an added bonus that it is for jewellery.  I also like this other jewellery stand which is perfect for my earrings.
The mirror is a given and I love the extra feature of a hanging, this would be great for planning outfits.  The terrarium and grow your own bonsai would add the addition of colour to the room. The candle is a bit of comfort to add a pretty smell to the room and the hangers are more of a necessity as you can never have enough. I swear I always seem to break mine which is why these wooden ones would be perfect.
I love the contrast of texture and surfaces and these metallic hints would add the much needed hint of sparkle.

Take a sip of my secret potion, I'll make you fall in love.

Jacket - Marks and Spencer/ Dress - H&M/ Hat - Primark/ Boots - Primark

One of my go to outfit's at the moment is a jacket, dress and boots. This dress was a real find I got it at the end of summer sale in H&M for £5 and it was definitely worth every penny. I've worn it a lot and with the swing style it's great for the 70's trend at the moment. Pairing it with tights and boots makes it a very effortless look. To add a bit more style I couldn't not add my hat.
