Welcome 2018

Welcom 2018 Charlotte jade
It’s the new year and that means a new start, right? Well, it doesn’t have to be.
I hate how with a new year everyone starts making resolutions. It’s like we’re all expected to make a change. A change for what? Or for who? I don’t know about you but I’ve already got enough pressures in life. I’m not about to add to them.

For years I made resolutions and I’d drop them within weeks. Who am I kidding I dropped them within days. I’d beat myself up for ages after and for what? Nothing that’s what. The thing with resolutions is they are usually big and unachievable. That’s not to say you can’t do them though.

Resolutions are something that we want to change and change takes time. So of course, when we make these big resolutions like losing 4 stone or quitting smoking we stop before we’ve even begun. The key to conquering your resolutions is making them into smaller achievable goals. Take it a bit at a time. Were only human after all.

So, this year when you’re thinking about resolutions break them down. Take them a bit at a time and be kinder yourself. I’ve taken this approach to 2018 and I’ve come up with my own goals.

This year I’m going to focus on:
  • Health - Making a conscious effort to go outside more
  • Love - Self love - To be kinder to myself and look after myself
  • Money - To save some money. I’d be happy to know I’d saved a small amount
  • Work - I want to spend some more time on my blog and to take more opportunities through my blog
For me it’s not about making big changes but continuing to create my life as I want it. What are your plans for 2018?
