Foo Fighters

Dreams really do come true. Last month I got to see my dream band. My thirteen year old self would be happy. Since I was thirteen I have always wanted to see the Foo Fighters. I have waited for fifteen years but I finally got to see them.

Foo Fighters are one of those bands for me. They have seen me through all my highs and lows and I will always love them as a band.

We were supposed to see them a couple of years ago but unfortunately Dave went and broke his leg. So we didn't get to go. Look I'm talking about him as though he's my mate. I can assure you he's not but how great would that be.

When we booked the tickets we were actually on holiday sunning it up in Gran Canaria. I got up early and waited for the tickets to go online. I thought I booked seats but actually two days before the gig I realised I had actually booked standing. Which was amazing and totally worked out for the best as I got to jump up and down and really enjoy it. I didn't go moshing as I could barely do that in my teens let a lone in my late twenties.

The day finally came and I still didn't believe I was actually going to get to see the Foo Fighters. I mean come on it's the Foo Fighters. We got to see them at West Ham's ground or as I still call it the Olympic stadium and what an amazing venue it was. With the bars outside we made the most of the good weather before heading in.

When they came on my teenage self was screaming. Whilst I didn't actually scream I sang my heart out. The atmosphere was electric and I've never felt anything like it. You can feel their passion and you can see that they love what they do.  The set list was a mix of songs from most of their albums which I've put below. There were a few songs I wish they'd played like "Come Alive" and "But Honestly" but they can't play them all or they'd be there for a long time.

However, if they wanted to do that I'd pay to see them do all their songs.

I was really worried I wouldn't be able to enjoy like I wanted to because of how I have been feeling. I didn't need to worry though because as soon as they came on stage I forgot everything else and I felt like me again. Not only did I get to see the Foo Fighters which has been my dream for fifteen years and tick off one of my bucket list items but I got to feel like me again.

It has made me love the Foo Fighters even more and will be seeing them again.
